Welcome Back TRUCE Students

Hello Parents and Students,

My name is Truett Miller, the new Assistant Principal at TRUCE Alternate Learning Center. I have over fourteen years of experience in education serving as a Teaching Department Lead for Special Education and Social Studies in two different school districts. In addition, I have over ten years of experience coaching high school boys athletics with multiple years as a successful Head Boys Basketball Coach. For the past three years, I taught as a Behavior Intervention Teacher.

Principal Licciardi and our staff welcome you and your child to TRUCE. Here at the learning center we strive to empower students to take control of their behavioral actions inside and outside the classroom. Research proves parent communication and engagement with school staff promote student learning and success. Here at TRUCE, we value parent engagement and consider it essential for educational achievement.

While at TRUCE all students will take an in-person character education course designed to enhance their emotional well-being and social skills. TRUCE students will receive their academic course instruction through an enriching online platform called Edgenuity. The Edgenuity program will track their academic progress, participation, and grades within their enrolled subjects.

Regular attendance is vital for student success at TRUCE. When students attend TRUCE, they receive instruction that facilitates their behavioral, emotional, and academic growth. Failure to regularly attend school at TRUCE may lengthen students' stays on campus or lead to withdrawal.

We are excited and committed to furthering your child's educational development and emotional growth here at TRUCE. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact Assistant Principal Mr. Miller or Principal Liccardi at the TRUCE Alternate Learning Center. Thank you for supporting your child’s education and Castleberry ISD.
